Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White is leaving the decision to Jon Jones about his future with the company.
The outspoken head honcho has been going back and forth with the pound-for-pound king in the past week after Jones revealed he was denied of a pay raise for a potential move to 265 pounds to face Francis Ngannou in a super fight.
In a scathing Twitter rant, the two-time light heavyweight champion slammed the UFC president for saying he asked for the same paycheck Deontay Wilder earned on his rematch with Tyson Fury.
“Don’t be a f**king liar. My reputation has already taken enough hits. I don’t need this bullsh*t, Dana. I never asked for Deontay Wilder’s numbers. And how about since Deontay is making $30 million, we settle for half of that. Since you said I’m the GOAT and everything.”
“I don’t even make half of half of what Diante Wilder makes. If my reputation causes you to undervalue me this much. Just go ahead and release me from my @Ufc contract altogether. I’m sure some promoter somewhere will be more than happy to pick me up,” Jones said.

“I Haven’t Done That”
White took aim at Jones during the UFC Las Vegas press conference last weekend and said it was Jones who has done a very good job on destroying his legacy, presumably referring to the champ’s recent legal troubles.
“Being able to sell… Jon Jones has done a lot of things to himself. He keeps saying, in one of his tweets he was saying that I tarnished him. I tarnished you? You’ve done a very good job of tarnishing you. I haven’t done that,” he told the media.
“You know, Hunter told him ‘you can come in here and walk through the numbers, I’ll walk you through all of the numbers’ and (Jones) said ‘I don’t give a f*ck what the numbers are. I want what I want and that is it.’ It is not how life works.”

“It’s Up To Him”
Following these recent comments from White, Jones announced he is out of the UFC and said he is vacating the light heavyweight title.
Sources said Jones was serious about his decision as per a report from ESPN’s Ariel Helwani and White said Jones is free to walk away from the UFC.
“Jon Jones is one of the greatest to ever do it. The decision he wants to make regarding his career is up to him,” White said about Jones relinquishing his belt (via MMA Fighting)
“The reality is that he’s made enough money from fighting that he’s now in the position to retire and never work again in his life.”
